Really appreciate all the input I have gotten, learned alot of facts that I didn't before this thread. Ok .. Now I have to ask the dumb question. One of the things that I learned was the GVW & how that determines the tire. With my GVW 16,000 that pretty much eliminated many of the common tires used. My axles are rated 7,000 so the 2 ties on axle have to be rated for at least that. But my question is: If both axles are rated at 7000 for a total of 14,000, my trailer sticker from factory in regards GSW is 16,000 (trailer + cargo), why is it 2,000 over the rating of the axles?
