I have a 5 ft long piece of 3/4 plywood. Two pieces glued and screwed together equals 1 1/2 inch thick. It's about 10 inches wide and sitting on edge on a wheel hump and held against the side of the bed with a bungee.
I also have other 1 1/2 thick pieces that can go under one tire and a couple single 3/4 thick pieces. Also two 12 x12 pieces 1 1/2 thick for landing gear. Plywood is inexpensive and doesn't crack like 2x or 1x. I had interlocking plastic things that cracked and deformed on uneven ground.
That long piece of plywood has also been handy for helping slide heavy things from the front of my utility trailer up in to the truck bed.
