I get why you commented on the trailer not being detected. It shouldn't have detected it, it's 45 miles away. I didn't mention that. The reason I mention the motion sensor is the fact that the head unit isn't plugged in to power, it is only running on its internal battery, and I just opened the door and it started beeping at me. It hasn't been used at all for a month and a half.

Regarding the features, those are all fine. It has a temp setting so I can monitor the tire temps, but that is at the end of the valve stem, and is not going to be accurate at all. As far as being accurate, as I am driving I see the pressures rise as the tires warm up just like they should. If I take a sensor off the valve stem, I get an alarm in short order. In the morning before I start driving the tires in the sun are a degree or two higher than the ones in the shade so I know it is working correctly. My biggest issue is when I unhook the trailer, it takes quite a while before it starts alerting that there is no signal from the trailer. That gives me pause. In my mind, it should report that within a minute or two at most.

So far, I am very happy with it and I am very glad I have it. Yes I would buy it again.

The TST 507 sensor's work great in all temps! I've been in +85 down to -28 degrees, coverd in snow, mud and sand no problem.

Have had mine for 3 years now. Been satisifed with it and have had no issues.

Interesting comments. Sensor problems are bad! I had a blowout on one tire while using my current TST system and it did not activate the alarm until immediately after the blowout. However, if you throw the tread, lots of time you will still have an inflated carcass at operating pressure.

The friends problem were the senors were failing . He decided to give the TST a shot instead of replacing sensors on the Tireminder

Good Travel Friends were running a Tire Minder and totally shredded a tire and didn't know it until a passing car pointed towards the rear of their RV. Pulled over and nothing left of the tire, BUT the Tire Minder still showed good pressure. They switched to a TST shortly after.

For what its worth , a friend got rid of his TireMinder , and went with TST 507. Not sure what the reason was The TST 507 is the one I went with ,so far so good after a couple years . It seems to be the most popular , and the one I see most recommended . I have the color monitor, and it seems okay in the sunlight , nor sure its ever been in the direct sunlight.

I have an old TST that needs replacing. I would like info from someone who uses the TireMinder. $200 difference in pricing on the 8 transmitter systems. If the TireMinder has issues this is negligible.

Wow !! $200 difference , I paid like $180 for the 507 on sale, with 4 non flow thru sensors . The non flow thru sensors were also on sale at the time for $40 a pair, I should of got 4 more for the truck, would have been into it $260. Although my truck does have tire pressure readings ,but no warning . The reason the price was as good as it was ,was they changed those sensors to a different style, both the flow thru ,and the non flow thru, the price was the same on sale. I believe they changed them on the security part of it. As said its been nearly 2 years now since I both the TST, sounds like they increased in price quite a bit .

I'll ask the friend why he got rid of the Tireminders .

When I was looking for a TPMS, I read a lot of review sites and didn't see a significant difference in reliability or satisfaction between the TireMinder and Eeztire systems.

The Eeztire was slightly cheaper at the time, so I went with it and have been happy with it, but I think I would have been equally happy with the TireMinder.
