Go up on roof
Remove black tank vent cap
Top of vent pipe should be 'flush' with roof
If it has slipped down....grab it with some vice grips and pull it UP
Then secure it in place by putting a wood screw thru it into roof plywood.
Put a dab of caulking on screw...replace vent cap
If flush (not slipped down)..run a garden hose down into vent pipe.
Turn water on an blast away......best done when connected to sewer and dump valve open
One other cause of toilet 'burping'
STUFF not dropping completely down into tank...plopping right below toilet pipe.
MORE WATER when doing #2 - BB_TXNomadI agree that if the tank is not full (full being another cause of burping) it is likely the vent.

Sometimes the toilet bubbles and or spits up while flushing. The toilet can be empty or 1/2 full just does it at random, any ideas how to remedy this. Thanks
Check the roof vent to see if it clear and possibly slipped down into the tank.
