I'll dispute that.  I've had 8 Chinese tires go bad over the 9 years we've owned our FW.  I'm pretty religious about inflation and speed.  My first one went < 1,000 miles and < 1 year.  The other 3 followed the next year and < 2,000 miles.  Replaced all 4 and those lasted another 4 years before they all started to separate.  Caught the failures before anything bad happened, fortunately.  < 3,000 miles on the set.
