Towing 2014 Voltage 3905

Hello Everyone,

I'd like some advice on picking a new truck to pull this 2014 voltage 3905,

I've been a Ford guy for years so I would like to stick with them as they have not let me down yet... With the experience I have towing I would take a guess at a F350 or even F450, Not sure if I need a dully or not. I should also say I need it to be a crew cab truck.

I noticed Ford offers a 10000 GVWR and 11400 GVWR Option? Have no idea what either of these mean and even how it could be an option. I know what GVWR is but not sure how this option changes it.

Lastly Ford offers an 18k 5th Wheel hitch would this be good enough for this toy hauler?

Thanks so much for your time
and thoughts.
Mike
  • Get the f350 drew and the Reese elite 25k to go with the 5th wheel prep package
  • 19,000# rating, so 18K hitch is a little light.
3293# hitch wt. empty I think by the time stuff and people in cab, and put in trailer, you will be over rear axle capacity of a SRW
