- MFLNomad III am pulling rig in signature, with a 13 F250 6 3/4 without a slider. Yes, my cap is designed for a short bed. My pin is 41 inches behind the cab, with good clearance.
I believe I would be good at 38"s, but have no reason to do it.

- wandering1ExplorerIf you don't want to damage the cab of your truck and the corner of the fifth wheel and knock the back window out of your truck then you need a slider hitch or a long bed truck. Its only a matter of time and yes you will have to make a turn sharp enough to hit the back of your cab with the trailer. The slider hitch will be cheaper than the repairs.
- rattleNsmokeExplorerI've got an older (2006) and I'm glad I have my slider. A lot has to do with the contour of the cap on the fiver. Many have the radius edges cut deeply to accommodate a standard hitch. My CC fiver doesn't have that deep of a cut.
