I really appreciate the constructive input from most the people on this forum.
However, there are a few people that ruin it for everyone else. You always get the people that can not help themselves by running down your truck because they think they have something better. And how you don't have a truck unless it's a diesel. Well for what you use it for maybe it is better, when you have to tow 10K plus there is no other way to go, but a diesel is not the best truck for me and I will leave it at that. But to clear the air I have driven several diesels, and to knock some of you guys off your high horses if I bought one today it would be the Duramax.
Now to clear the air on the trailer. I also checked with my Ford dealer who hooked me up with their Master mechanic. He told me I could pull this trailer all day everyday and not have a problem with this truck. He did suggest I upgrade my tires (which I did). He also stated if the rear end dropped more than a couple inches when loaded I should install a set a air bags for when I do tow(It didn't with the equalizer hitch).
With this information I bought the trailer. I towed it home and it pulled beautifully. Now to those who are about to say, "yea well just wait until you hit a mountain road"! Well after viewing several u-tube video's of the Ecoboost towing 10000 lbs up and down a mountain roads I don't see that as an issue(It didn't even slow down!). At 10K the truck had no issue's so at 9K fully loaded I don't think I will either. Not to mention most of the time I will only be at about 8K.
Thanks to those who gave constructive advise. And to those who do not know this truck, don't judge until you see it in action. It is a fantastic half ton truck.
Highly recommend it to anyone, and this is coming from a Chevy guy. This truck would literally do circles around my Silverado that I traded in on it.
