Settle down guys! This is what I wanted to avoid. Most people get lost in these numbers but they can make sense. If GVWR is 7200 minus 5400 for the truck that makes 1800 available weight to load the truck with. Trailer tongue weight of 1120 eats up alot and leaves 680 for passengers and cargo. 2 people say 300 lbs that leaves 380 for misc cargo. So it is within Ford specs. And yes the tow rating is 9200, way up from years past but the engine, brakes, and tranny are way stronger than years past.
No need to settle down - You asked, and this is what you get, but don't worry 75 - 80% of the people out there towing are WAY over there limits, so now you'll fit in!!!
Take the advice of the people that are towing out there. Run the numbers and make sure you can tow safely. I just might be the person you run over with your overloaded trailer and F150 truck!
