I really wonder sometimes why people post a question, they get reasonable answers but not what they want to hear. They then go ahead and do, and had probably already done, what they were advised against by most of the reasonable advisors.
Why bother with all the rigamarole if your mind is made up? You see it all the time: people want their opinion validated and when it isn't, they lash out at the people giving them advice they didn't want to hear in the first place, but asked anyway.
Maybe people should give an outline of allowable answers that will fall with the specs of their question. That way all this unpleasantness would be avoided in the future. :)
