What were the bugs Chris? Haven't been keeping up on the late model Rams. Too rich for my blood! :)

There were a few recalls on the 2014, my year. You could call them bugs if you want. All but one recall has been taken care of, and that should be resolved within a month. They are just as solid of a truck as the 15,and 16's with very minor changes. No reason in the world to stay away from the 13-14's . Typical response from someone who owns the newer one, but never the older one.

This air ride thing is pretty much blown out of portion, its a couple automatic airbags, that cost a whole lot more from Ram then say the Airlift automatic system. As the weight pushes down the automatic system airs up back to level. I prefer adding the non automatic air system ,and adjusting as wanted. IMO the Ram air is just another expensive selling gimmick.

I completely disagree. I tow MUCH heavier than that RV being mentioned with a 15 RAM Dually 4:10's with rear air ride. I am within front and rear axle ratings and within GCVWR. Also those numbers are SAE compliant. The truck is rock solid in ALL conditions.

The RV mentioned will at least have a 3,800# pin at 20% and more realistically 4,700# at 25%.

Truck in pick is towing 32,500# combined. Front axle 5,460# rear axle 9,580# pin is about 5,500#. Truck looks the same loaded or unloaded with the rear air doing it's job.

Why? Do you really think they would risk the law suits if they authorized a given rating and there was a crash because of a failure?

Exceed the ratings at your risk but within the ratings, you should be fine.

I agree with Donn. No way I load this trailer on a light duty truck.

2006 dodge 3500 4x4 diesel (5.9L Cummins) -------15,400 tow/23,000 GCWR
2008 ford f350 SD diesel ------------------------15,000 tow/23,500 GCWR
2010 dodge 3500 HD 4x4 6.7L Cummins. ------------16,800 tow/24,500 GCWR

Actual payload capacity.....amount truck can 'carry' AFTER subtracting the weight of you,fuel, passengers, any stuff inside truck, any stuff in bed, 5th wheel hitch etc.
Then you have to consider how much more weight rear axle can carry (actual weight subtracted from GAWR)
And rear tire max load capacity (Total amount of weight they can carry at max psi)

With that 5th wheel
Look for a 2013 year dually with GCWR 29,000# or higher
(14K GVWR with 3:42 rear end or 3:73/4:10-----lower the higher tow/GCWR)

OP - you have a major learning curve to work on.
