I went with 45VOC panels and wired them in series/pairs. This allowed me to keep my three runs down to 10ga wire and save install costs and increase output on cloudy days....of which I camp a lot in. I have seen 39V/.3A output converted to 12.7V/1.1A output in the moonlight.
Are you going 12V or 24V? Looking back now, maybe I should have gone 24V and used a 12V converter to power the on board accessories.
Inverters, chargers, and solar controllers work more efficiently with less offset in conversion voltage. Your charge controller could handle 1600W of PV input at 24V output.
