I have basically the same setup, companion hitch and trail air hitch and it looks the same on my truck when connected. I see no problem being the Companion hitch articulates to accommodate this angle while towing, if you watch the hitch movement in your mirror, you will see that it moves to different angles while flexing as the shock travels. I have to load mine with 96 lbs of air pressure to get the arrow to line up while towing
