Tuners are great for hot rodding, sometimes not so good for towing. I also had a 99 7.3. Gage went to 300 once towing on flat land. I was more than halfway to my destination so I kept going. Never happened again but I did put a trans in it just to be on the safe side. The original had 200K on it at the time.
i hope so but i am not so sure and i agree on the tuners,, i got it to see if it would help with shifting. i am 56 so i do not hotrod my truck since i want it to last a long time. i only have the 4 tunes uploaded,, daily driver, fuel sipper, towing 65 hp, and towing 85 hp(which i never use) but thanks for the ideas, will looking into possibility
