Transfering Hitch

Not sure where to post this... Have a 99 F350 crew cab with a 18,000 lb Draw-Tight 5th wheel hitch. Looking at a 2016 F350 with the 5th wheel package. Will the pre drilled holes in the new truck bed line up with the draw-tight rails? Are those holes only for a hitch from Ford? Man, talk about stick price shock... Thanks for any responses..
  • you can just buy new legs for draw tight that fit the ford puck system.

My hitch is a 2001 model that sits on bed rails, with 4 tabs that extend down thru the rails for pins. Prby older than your thinking...
  • Not all truck come thru w/ the puck system for 5ers from factory hence the need for rail install and holes drilled thru bed floor. Had to do it w/ my truck. Sure it might be a PITA doing it. but once done, rails in floor are there till you either remove them or sell it. Downside is, you don't have a completely flat floor as those w/ the puck system. If I was to order a new truck, sure I'd get the puck, but in the meantime, my hitch (and new ones are still avail) has to have bedrails and tabs just like OP has. Not sure about others, but once current hitch is put in at springtime, it stays in until 5er goes into storage in the fall.

$857.95 on amazon. Free shipping for the B&W rvk3300

Hey... can't find that price... can you provide a link? TKS

I just typed B&W rvk3300 from amazon, and it is first on list. That is a great price, and a much better route than using adapters, to make the old hitch work.

Found it... thanks... I looked yesterday and the only one I could find was $959... guess I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer...

B&W sets the prices that wholesalers can charge. You start selling them for less you won't be selling them for long.

Etrailer and Tweetys sell for $959.00 with free shipping.

Below is from AMAZON. I would advise buying ASAP as this price won't last long as it also includes free shipping!
