Thanks for all the replies. Leave it on is the consensus and what we will do. I wasn't worried about the legal aspect, more worried about it flying off on the interstate or hanging it up on something.
We had a small leak in the roof this year from a crease in the caulking. I would like to be able to get up there in case there is a problem on the long trip.
Heading to Idaho,Washington, Oregon, California, and back through the Southwest. It is our first really long trip since retirement. Looking forward to riding the cycles, hiking, sightseeing, and enjoying national and state parks.
