I'm with Popeye: change what you want because you want to, but you'll never really make much change in the overall weight that will be noticeable.
Of course if you're really pulling that 5th wheel at it's GVWR, you're more than just a little overweight. I have the same truck, only 2 WD, and I'm about 100 lbs. over my truck's GVWR and about 1,000 lbs. over my GCWR, with my 15,000 lb. toyhauler.
