Trim/weatherstrip
I have a question for you guys.
I have a 2004 Jayco Talon 36Z. It's a 39' 5th wheel toyhauler.
My question is, there is diamond plate along the bottom of the length of the outside of the camper. Where this meets up with the main wall, there is a strip of trim/weatherstrip type material covering the seam.
Seeing as how this rig is 10 years old and has been stored mostly outside, much of that trim is starting to come off.
My question is, does it serve a functional purpose? Is it required?
Or, is it just there for aesthetic purposes to make the transition from wall to diamond plate cleaner?
Appreciate the insite!
