Trouble with Lipper Slideout in Jayco Pinnacle

Need advise and I don't trust CW at this point. Maiden voyage to check everything out on new Jayco Pinnacle. One of the slideouts in the front living area want extend properly. I know there are two motors and a control module to synchronize the speed of the motors. But the trouble seems to be the motors are working in opposite directions and the unit is just twisting. When I press "Extend", I can see which motor is retracting instead of extending. I can't believe CW didn't know there was an issue before we took delivery. We saw the slideout opened in our walk through and closed when we took delivery. My fault I should have seen it working (water under the bridge). I suspecting during one the warranty visits, CW disconnected something and reconnected backwards thus reversing the direction of one of the motor, but I don't know where to look. Any ideas from the great minds on this forum?

Thanks.

  • Update on the slideout motors running backwards on Lippert system. I got some great advise here. I finally found a good manual on the lci.com site and found out there are dip switches for changing the motor direction on the command module in the event the wiring is crossed. Sounds like Lippert planned for this issue with a built in remedy. Once I flipped the switch to get the motors moving in the same direction, everything worked fine! Issue solved! On to the next!

    Thanks,
  • The wires are right under the slide inside and the controllers are attached to the ceiling of the front pass through.
  • I don't know anything about your make or model, but it sounds like reversed polarity on one motor. Camping world is quite the show....
