As a former hard core Ford guy I had to draw the line and said no way to Powerstroke when I went looking for a 20K 1 ton diesel there is NO WAY I would get a 6.0 or a 6.4 had too many friends with problems and I did NOT want to spend 2+K to "Bulletproof" them so that left me with Cummins or Duramax/Allison the Dodge's had a weak auto trans thru the mid years so I went with a 2007 3500 Dually GMC LBZ Duramax/Allison crew cab for 21K and it was the Best move I have made with a Truck Rock it is solid reliable and powerfull, the hard part was finding one the 06-07 LBZ Duramax is Very sought after
