Truck squat?

Just curious of how much squat you have for those of you that have a Chevy/GMC 2500HD with WD bars installed?

I'm going to reset my hitch to the new truck and just want to get a idea of what the average squat is for this truck. Thanks.

That is in my plans but for now I want to get the hitch set up as good as I can for now. Knowing what others rigs are sagging will help me get in the ballpark.

Okay good to know, I assume you what the front to be closer to the same or slightly lower, correct?
  • What the TV sags in the rear is unimportant. You set the hitch by what it does to the front axle.
  • I tried all different heights on 2 different shanks... My truck is lifted too so that may be why. No matter what hitch set up I had tho it was sagging in the rear. The airbags have been a huge help.
  • Did you set up the ball to be 1 inch higher than the coupler when the trailer is level?
  • I have almost the same set up as you and I had over 3 inches of sag in the back. Even with the TH loaded rear heavy. I would hit the bump stops on big bumps. I tried multiple hitch settings with no improvement. So I ended up getting the Firestone ride-rite airbags on the back. No I put about 70 psi in those when loaded up and it makes a world of difference. The truck and trailer both sit level and the ride and handling in 100% better. I think they should definitely be in your future.
