Two Tire Questions

I had a time frame I had to get the repairs done in before heading out again.My ins. Agent said get it fixed and Goodyear paid all repair expenses. No increase in insurance cost.Will be using rebate to put tires on truck..I put American made Lt tires on 5r.At this point no one is out except Goodyear when it comes right down to it.

Going elsewhere would be to the new improved Carlisle or TowMax with the new Nylon overlay??? News flash, GY added that to the Marathon years ago! Most likely at the Circle S release of new improved Marathon's in the late 90's-early 00's!

No Chris, going elsewhere for me was to go to LT tires on my camper, equipment trailer and both horse trailers.
Sorry, but I'm just not impressed with ST tires.

First claim probably does not change rates much but……….have a second claim and thru the roof! And you just can't go to another company, they will get ya also.

I suppose we have to admit that it's good that GY pays for these damages. But, it makes one wonder if this is all driven by a simple risk analysis on their part. In other words, they may be saying inside their own conference rooms, yes, we know it's a junk tire, but it's still more profitable to just pay out a few claims rather than actually improve the quality of the product.

Yep, you let them off the hook and took the major hit on your insurance. If you would have pushed they would have covered everything.

That IS a fact!

Fatal error was turning it into his insurance instead of GY in the first place.

My Dad had two or three GY G's go on his 96 HH Premier that were pre 07 dated and they paid for the tire and ALL damages no question. He still runs GY G's with many thousand miles and no problems since.
