Update on dealer ripoff

The dealer just bought 100 sets of the gears @ $20 per set and are selling them for $75 per set. They said they could probably make more money over several years selling the gears than the whole unit because it was a 10 year old 5er. Monaco originally made the gear box. And they are going to sell them on ebay.

    How do you know he paid 20 bucks and what do you feel is a fair markup?

    That sure is better than spending the $550 or whatever it was. Companies have to make a profit and he is taking a risk in case he does not sell them all.
