Upgrade to a Voltage?

I have never taken more than a 6 year loan so I have bigger payments but keeps me out of negative. When you take a loan for 10 years or more, all you are paying is mostly interest for the first 4-5 years. Same idea as a mortgage.

I have a Grand Design Momentum 385TH and could not be happier. I was looking at all the major toy haulers (Cyclone, Fuzion, Raptor, Voltage, etc) until I heard about Grand Design. I started many months of research on the company and then ordered my Momentum at the Hershey RV show last September. It is by far the best RV I have owned, and I have been RVing for over 15 years and have had 5 RV's already. I like trading in and upgrading every couple of years. The quality of craftsmanship and detail cannot be compared. The customer service is exceptional. Those are the 2 most important things I wanted in a RV company. If I was you I would make sure I gave Grand Design a serious look before purchasing anything else.

Buying from Trailer Hitch was easy! He used to post all his prices but now he has a “Call for best price” on the higher end units. However that being said I will buy from them again and I bet he still has the lowest prices on the west coast. Our issues on the Voltage were handled by Trailer Hitch very fast and professionally (they sold it but they did not build it).:)

I bought mine at trailer hitch rv as well, we drove about 3 hours and everything went perfect as planned. I showed a local dealer their ad and they couldn't come close on the price.

As far as the trailer, it's our second RV and I am very happy with it. Our first one being a Weekend Warrior that we were happy with as well. I think all RV's have minor problems, luckily I haven't experienced any major issues. Just a drip from the shower to the basement and a fading front decal which the local dealer fixed under warranty.

My parents owned an American Eagle and now a Country Coach a they have had issues in those as well.

Yes look at the Grand Design! I have a 2012 3905 Epic 1, we have had issues with the slides and other items falling off ETC. Over all I give the unit I have a 7 out of 10. Shop around! Look at a dealer in CA www.trailerhitchrv.com he sells the GD.

I'm a Fuzion owner and wouldn't have a problem owning another, but if I were in the market today, I would be looking at the Grand Design Momentum line. Slightly more expensive, but when you really pick them apart you will see a huge difference in quality. Grand Design uses better practices in building their trailers, in some cases better components and they are better insulated. The only downside I have found to their product is that they initially only offered two floor plans but that has increased to three this year so they are expanding.

During my search for the perfect toy hauler for my family, we had narrowed it down to Fuzion and Voltage. This was about 10 months before anybody had ever heard of Grand Design.

And now that Dutchmen has been bought by Keystone there has been a lot of reports of improvements in the new ones. In fact you will now find a Keystone sticker on the new Voltages.

I've been fulltiming in my Voltage 3600 for the past two years, and have had no major issues. I do have it going into the shop, but I'm fulltiming it, so it gets used a bit.

There are a few things that I've scratched my head about, but overall, I love it, and would do it again in a heartbeat.

We bought our Fuzion a year ago from Holemans. Withbthe exception of a few very small things which i just fixed myself ours has been great. Our worst problem was the cheap tires which once we changed to michellin are no longer an issue. If i were buying a new TH i wouldnt leave the lot with the junk tires. I have a friend with the same model only 1 year older and they are very happy with theirs as well which is one of the reasons we decided to buy one. Have 2 friends with voltages and both have needed work but were taken care of. The quality and materials od both seem verry similar to me.if i were needing to buy a new TH it would be either the Fuzion or Voltage. Wouldnt consider any of the others.
