Voltage 3990

We got to see the new Voltage 3990 at the Dallas RV show this weekend. They didn't have any literature on it and it does not show on their website.

I might be in trouble because my wife fell in love with the floor plan. Last time this happened was just over a year ago and within a month I had a new truck and our first trailer. She is just going to have to wait on this one. Even though I got a great deal on my 3200, I'm sure I would take a heck of a hit on it.

The only thing I didn't care for was the skirting all the way around the trailer. The top of the trailer is the white fiberglass with graphics and the skirting is black with a texturing that resembles FRP wall paneling used in restaurants. I'm curious what is would look like if the trailer had full paint.

Off topic but I also saw the new Millennium toy hauler. It was our favorite until we got to the 3990.

    What's wrong with a bed in the slide? I like that it has a King bed. I don't like that it only has one couch in the living area.

    Almost the exact layout of the Cyclone 4100 King.

    Dealer told me that this has been such a popular floor plan for Cyclone that they decided to duplicate with the Voltage.

    Yup. Even my little 42'7" rig cuts down available spots a lot.

    In addition to what has been posted already, some other problems:

    - slides are usually not well insulated so the top of the bed is often very cold - not a pleasant way to start the night
    - when it rains, it's raining very close to your head - I find the noise very disruptive
    - manf'rs put windows in the slide - cold just pours off that single pane glass

    I guess if you only sleep when the weather is warm and not raining, you'll be fine. We use our rig in the winter and cold is an issue.

    We like having a decent sized night stand by our head. We BOTH have one with a N/S bed, slide beds, if they have ANY, are very small.

    To us, it works better to have the closet slide, than the bed.

    I agree. We HATE the slideout beds.
