I am wondering if anyone has upgraded to 16" tires and rims from the stock 15" on a 2006 Keystone Laredo 30BH? I have measured the clearance and it appears as if the 16" should fit but wanted to be sure I was not missing something before purchasing. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Best bet is to contact Keystone service and ask them.Know it sounds like a simple thing to do, but from engineering standpoint, there may be restrictionsJMHO

Did it on our 2009 Keystone Outback...no problems at all.

I did it on my TT, the whole idea (for me) was to take 2 year old tires off the tv, and put them on the trailer. Then I would never have to worry about old tires or st quality / speed limits again.

Getting off cheap ST tires and availability of many brands of LT tires are the biggest advantages.

The stop sign below should be on the exit to the street at all trailer dealers.

I did this on my 2001 Lakota(which we just sold) about 2 years ago, wish I had done it much sooner. The only issue I had was the clearance to the bottom of the wheel well. I had 2" solid steel blocks added to raise the trailer.

I think you have to have 6 lug hubs to do it cuz there are no 5 lug 16" wheel when I did it. I got wheels from etrailer and Dunlop lts from discount. $800.00 total. Craig

I did this conversion on my last fifth wheel. I ended up just going to Discount Tire, and they measured everything for me...made sure it would all fit.
Bought the wheels and tires from them.

I too upgraded from 15" stock to 16" on a 2007 Keystone Cougar 5th wheel about five years ago and have never had a problem. Of course I also changed the rims to accommodate the larger tires.

1" clearance minimum between tires. 3" bump clearance on top/top side edge of tire to body and or frame is Dexter Axle's guidelines.

If the overall tire diameter is close, and the wheel backspacing is the same, you won't have any problems.

You really only have to worry about the tires touching each other, or the top of the wheelwell. So even taller tires are no issue if you have the clearance.
