Using the RV toilet on the road

We have a 2012 KZ Durango 295CS, FW, and would like to have a little water in the fresh water tank so we can flush a time or 2 on the road. When we leave the campground, and disconnect from the water source, how do we maintain a bit of water for this purpose?

Yes, we have the manual and know it's capacity....will have to find the outlet for adding water to it! So much to learn....only been out twice......so many mistakes! LOL

No, the water will have to be filled at your fresh water tank inlet, IF you have one. Then, also if you have one, you will need to turn on a water pump to get water to come out of the faucets and fill the toliet. We have to fill our fresh water tank at the side of our RV.

  • You will need to put water in your fresh water holding tank. It is completely separate fro where you hook up to water while camped. You should have a fill vap on your camper.
  • We usually carry about 10 gallons in our tank just for this purpose without the extra weight. JMHO

We are very new at this....our first RV ever!
  • You have a fresh water fill portal on the side of your FW so you can have water onboard for just this kind of use. Put some water in the tank before you hit the road. When you stop, switch on your water pump - flush - turn off the pump. Go on your merry way...
  • Put some fresh water in your tank and use your on board water pump to flush..(hope I'm understanding your question. If not, ignore my solution)
