I placed some anti slip material on the top, added a sheet of 1/2 inch plywood that reaches each side of the cabinet it sits in, and then installed a wood rail on the left but a tiny bit low so the pressure actually raised the right side of the top cover a tiny bit. Then I installed the right rail while pressing down on the cover. This stabilized the machine. It can still shake a bit but not nearly as much.
