Since I purchased my scale I'm running 950-1050 TW depending on how I load things and that's pretty much where it should be with the 7500-8000lbs of the trailer. On my first trip I must have been in the 400lb range as it towed very poorly. I've done about 4K miles since and the trailer tows great, no sway at all. Even yesterday with 30 mph cross winds on a narrow two lane twisty road I had no problems. I will however carry this TW scale with me at all times since the amount of things I carry changes constantly and this will give me a good idea on how to load.
