Want to replace the Sealand 210 toilet. Questions.

My Sealand 210 toilet has been a PIA since new. The water/flush mechanism gets stiff and the ball valve won't close all the way. This Sealand is bolted to the flange with two bolts/nuts and two lag bolts into the floor near the rear of the toilet. I bought a new Thetford 310 which we liked but it needs an adaptor to fit my 4" flange. Anyone installed a replacement? What kind of adapter do I need? Wonder why my MS has a 4" to 3" flange??
  • We had the same problem with our Domestic 310. Replaced the water valve a few weeks ago and it works totally different now. I was very surprised, and it was a ten minute job to replace.

I'm willing to bet your two screws that hold your spring cartridge are too tight. Mine has been trouble free since I adjusted it properly.

I posted this over on the DRV forum. Worked for a week, then stiff again. The Sealand 210 would make a better fish habitat than toilet. If it ever would hold water.

My new toilet ia a "Thetford" 310 ReVolution. Got if from Camping World and Thetford is all over the box. Regardless, it is made for a 3" flange and mine id 4". It leaked like a sieve.

I am not correct. The new toilet was a Dometic 310 not Thetford. I stand corrected. Sorry.
  • Just passed one year of use with the Dometic310.

Very pleased with it. Is taller than the 210 making it much easier to get on and off. The flush action keeps the bowl very clean. No rim.

  • I'm a bit confused by your comments. Thetford does not make a model 310; Dometic does - and its a fine RV toilet in my opinion. We have the Dometic 320 and are very pleased with it compared to the cheap Thetford Bravura unit we previously had. Dometic, by the way, was purchased by Sealand so is now supported by Sealand.
