Wanting a Camera to monitor the toy garage

my in-laws recently purchased a toy hauler, a Raptor 3814. he wants a camera to be able to monitor the load in the toy garage, as a friend has had his load come loose and after a long trip, damage was done.

I've looked all over the internet, and searched this forum but can't seem to find anything that would possibly work. There are a couple backup cameras that could possibly be modified enough to work, but I figured someone here might have something like that, or know of something like that.

Thanks for your help
Shaun

  • any backup camera would work

I just did an install on the hdt with one of these the video lead you can extend with a single rca cord www.monoprice.com has all sorts of lengths available. The other side is 12 volt power.
  • why wouldn't a 69$ back up camera easily be installed to work? all you need is 12 volts at each end.
    bumpy
  • I've heard of people using an old smartphone and streaming video from it to a PC in the hauler.
  • Do a search for 'horse' trailer supplies. All horse people have camera's in the trailer to watch the horses. They offer the best ones for the lowest price. Horse people only buy the best when towing their precious cargo.

In general 'all' trailer supplies are less expensive if bought from a horse trailer supply company. And IMHO they are better quality products also.
