Was my thread removed?

I posted a question yesterday asking opinions as to which would result in a better way to sell an RV. Got a few replies that I saw, now there is no record of that thread. Not even moved to another area.I understand we cannot sell or post things for sale on here, so I didn't think I was out of bounds by asking.

Could any of the Mods please explain what happened?

TY.

  • I got booted off IRV2 when a poster was trying to figure what truck and Rv he should buy. I posted a pic of my NEW COMBO. I said "I have exactly what you need" and went on to say how happy I was with both and why.

BAM. I was banned! They said I was soliciting a sale. Ban removed later I mentioned to someone on a post they made to be careful the mods may think you were trying to sell something.

BAM banned again. This time for 6 mo. I tried to explain my intent but no way we're they going to change their minds.

I'm my case I will guarantee that one of the mods does not like me because I challenged him on him stating my truck was over weight. I proved him wrong. He did admit it.

Had to get that off my chest!
  • Ever have one of those days you want to post something and in the middle of typing it out you change your mind because it just don't see quite right! Well, I just did! Probably better off not said anyway!

For the OP ... Good luck!
  • Because you say your RV is for sale and list what it is. That constitutes a For-sale post which is against the site rules.
It's a common ploy used here to advertise RV's.
I suggest you remove your signature line or this thread will likely be removed as well.
  • I think it comes down to the wording of your post. If you simply ask how best to sell an RV, then it is not a problem. But if you ask how to sell your RV and give very specific brand, year, model, floor plan, condition, etc, then it is likely seen as a thinly veiled attempt to solicit offers. I did not read it, so can't comment on that specific post.

    Just Guessing.
It certainly wouldn't be the first time for that situation. Although I'm not saying this was one of them.

It would be difficult if not impossible for the moderators to determine which was a legitimate question and which was a "for sale" advertisement in disguise so the delete them all. :@
