- Sledge_HammerExplorerMy wife and I have been having discussions about these, and she is of the opinion that the load capacity is considerably limited. She believes that you could only put a pair of jeans in at a time. What is everyone's experience with load capacity. Do you basically have to wash what ever you wore the prior day everyday?

If you run your washer while driving that's something that is not recommended by the manufacturer. We don't have any anchors on our combo and see no need for them. - Michelle_SExplorer IIII would use them. Remember your bouncing down the road with that machine sitting in a closet. - GsportExplorerI'm new to all this. I'm having a combo washer/dryer installed at camping world. They said I didn't need anchors. Do I or don't i?
- VulcaneerExplorerI have the separate washer/dryer. If you need the combo, it's a fine unit. If drying time is an issue, just hang the clothes on a clothes line. And go ahead and do another wash load. We have one the fiats on the ladder. And folds up for storage.
- docjExplorerWe have a Splendide unvented combo (7100 series) and we are quite pleased with it. Despite lots of misinformation posted on these forums about unvented units they do not vent any moisture into the RV. They condense the water vapor on a water-cooled outer drum and dispose of it down the drain. The newer unvented units take only slightly longer to dry a load of clothes than their vented counterparts.
However, with either type of combo it is imperative that you pay attention to the instructions in the user guide. Both types of units can wash considerably more clothes than they can dry effectively. If you overload them, the clothes will take forever to dry and will be wrinkled. - pugcrewExplorerwasher dryer prep unit just means it has been supplied for plumbing and electric. the vented unit I am referring to is the actual washer / dryer combo. This will require cutting a 4" hole in the wall to vent to the exterior. I have done this many times and it is very easy. I always start with the hole on the interior so if for any reason there is an obstruction (but never is) you can adjust the hole for a clear path to the exterior. if the hole needed to be adjusted it will never be seen once the washer is in place. Another way to get a hole location is wait for the morning dew to cover the outside of your camper. It clearly will show you where all your wall frameing is located. I still make a small probe hole on the interior just to make sure. I am a carpenter by trade so I am also the official hole cutter with all of our fellow campers. Good luck. Feel free to PM me if you want any advice.
- edatlantaExplorer IISplendide 2100XC here going on 4 years full time now. It works great and highly recommend it.
- charlysmom_dadExplorerWe didn't do any research, the Splendide came with the mh. We have the vented unit, and it's been working fine for 4 years.
