LOOKING FOR BRANDS AND MODELS!!I have to replace it either way.I am looking to replace the water pump in my 40'+ 5th wheel. We have multiple water draws like, sinks, toilets, washer, dishwasher, shower etc. Water pressure is the most important thing! So, I have been doing some internet searching and found a number of different options in different brands. I have seen posts of some really old to really new options on this site alone. Most posts seem to be directed toward water conservatory versus high end, high powered replacements. So, I would like to get your thoughts on both, but primarily the high pressure high powered options that would work with modern RV plumbing. Reliability of the product and the manufacturer will play a role as well. I know brands are subjective to opinions but maybe I can make some headway on a this research. What are you trying to accomplish that it won't do now ??Flow capacity is probably more important than pressure.....and pressure that is too high can blow out fittings.45 to 50 PSI should be plenty of pressure; the GPM capacity is more important if you need to run more than one faucet at a time.I had an "upgraded" variable speed pump put in my C trying to reduce the noise and get a better shower. The shower works a bit better but it is still noisy. I think the only good upgrade would include a small pressure tank to smooth out the flow.

Shane, I did up grade to a Shurflow Revolution 4008 pump rated for 55 pounds. The pressure tank was bought from Amazon and was a 2 gallon tank (I set the tank bladder pressure at #15 it is adjustable directions included). It was a lot cheaper on Amazon than Home Depot although HD did stock them. I did some browsing till I found the tank I wanted with free shipping and it was here in 2-3 days. I also bought the Shurflow pump on Amazon with free shipping. When I installed the new pump I placed a rubber isolation pad under it and wow you can barely hear it run.

Sorry, I never changed the pump. I just installed a 2 gallon pressure tank. Color was blue.
We loved it as the water pump was installed below the bed and shook the whole camper. Installed tank, no more shakey shakey and noise.

It was my first upgrade when I bought the new TT and I had the same one in my old TT. It ramps up on speed to meet the demand. It is only 40 PSI but seems to be all that is needs because the flow to devices (all turned on) are the same if I am on pump or city.

And as others have pointed out......it isn't so much about the pressure but the flow. And flow is limited to the size of plumbing wi=hich is 1/2"

YOUR Flojet is 4.5 GPM (MAX) at 40 PSI.

Shurflo 4048 is 4 gpm 55 psi

Shurflo 4004 is 3 gpm 55 psi

All three are 'standard' rv pumps.
Which based on OPs desires/wants are not enough.

Some folks like to make mods.....then more mods to account for mods made etc.

As already stated, it seems impractical to really meet the goals you have expressed while using the 12V pump and fresh water tank. However, the minimum improvement would be to add one of theseShurflo tank. However it is only designed to minimize surging as it holds less than one gal. of water. If you want to maintain flow rate on say two faucets for a few minutes, then a larger capacity pressure tank would be needed, something around 2-5 gallons. There are plenty of small vertical tanks and Amtrol makes several horizontal tanks that would be easier to mount. There are probably other brands with horizontal tanks as well.

Hopefully someone with better knowledge can chime in, but I don't see the value of a 7 GPM pump if the inlet pick up tube can't sustain that flow rate.

75psi is way high. When you connect to city water, its often suggested to use a pressure reducer so you don't blow out your lines.

We had a boat years ago with a similar setup and one time we stopped at a marina with high pressure and it did just that blew out a fitting a couple hours after we hooked up. Luckily we were there and shut off the water before any additional damage was done.
