Keep in mind that a Toyota "pulled" the Space Shuttle with basically the same kind of hitching system.

Those dollies have been around for quite a long time. I just did a Google search for Fifth Wheel dolly (Images) and a bunch of stuff came up. Actually, this give me a glimmer of hope I "could" someday get a 5er and not have to give up the bed of my truck!
