Based upon the maximum loaded trailer weight that may be true. But that ain't how it will work out. You'll hit the payload limit way before You'll hit the max trailer limit. Based upon the payload you can tow a lot bigger TT than 5er. That's because the tongue weight on a TT is less then the pin weight of the 5er for same weight TT / 5er.
