Keep in mind, the PNW has vastly different climates, west and east of the Cascades and then the coast areas. It would really depend on "where" you will be traveling. I would agree with most that by end of September we "should" be starting a more wet pattern, but last year it wasn't until late October that some areas didn't get started on having more rain.
