It's a few more years till retirement, but we thought we would get the rig and be ready.
Just to show you the difference from the stock trans cooler to the bigger 6.0 Cooler. it's a direct bolt in although the 6.0 has 1/2" trans lines and the smaller OEM has 9/16". The sell an adapter with the cooler if you buy it as a kit..
If you google 6.0 transmission cooler installation you will see alot of info on it..

Just watch your rear tire and rim capacity on those heavy pin weight models. You can upgrade to 19.5" wheels to get 9K lbs or more of capacity on your rear axle.
I by no means trying to argue what you are saying here. But, I find it kind of odd that subsituting a larger weight capacity wheel from your stock wheel seems to be ok. But adding airbags is the worst possible thing to do to gain a higher gross weight. Does anyone else see irony in this. Or maybe the 19.5 wheel is a oem option. Is that a possibility from factory?
To bedlam, I by no means am trying to call you out on anything. I dont know if you are a weight police type person or not. Im surprised that the weight police havent come out and hung your statement out to dry. Maybe Im reading to much into it. Have a good day all. I need to start this thread from the begining...... - ORbikerExplorer

That is a nice Rig. That 7.3 will be working pulling that I would recommend(unless you have it already) is a DP Tuner with towing tunes for a little more power and to get better shifting points. Also a 6.0 Transmission cooler and gauges would be a must.
Have fun and wave when you go by my house on your way to Crater Lake!
Thanks
I already have the performance chip in the truck. The transmission cooler is a good idea though.
I was thinking about changing the butt gears if that is possible. I'll be talking to my mechanic. - ORbikerExplorer

I have Toyo M55's on for the winter and have a set of 19.5 that will get new rubber for the summer.
So far, so good. We are enjoying the Oregon Coast now.
From inside.
From outside.
And on the beach just across the highway.
