fixed it for ya;) - StraboExplorerInstalled 2 more inside LED bulbs, they work so well its addictive. Going to Dumont for TDay so new step Matt's, those kind with the springs holding them on. New rubber ramp bumpers, ours are rotted. Also installed d rings onto the diamond plate tool box in the trucks bed, it allows me to ratchet strap down the fuel jugs.

That is a nice Rig. That 7.3 will be working pulling that I would recommend(unless you have it already) is a DP Tuner with towing tunes for a little more power and to get better shifting points. Also a 6.0 Transmission cooler and gauges would be a must.
Have fun and wave when you go by my house on your way to Crater Lake!
Thanks
I already have the performance chip in the truck. The transmission cooler is a good idea though.
I was thinking about changing the butt gears if that is possible. I'll be talking to my mechanic.
When I was figuring towing capacities when I bought my last toy hauler gearing was one of the only factors that changed one truck rating from the other so that would be a thought. Especially if your truck is going to be used primarily for towing and not your daily driver. Your truck is probably 3.73 so changing to 4.10 would be great for towing a heavy 5th wheel. The thing is though if you change the rear you will have to change the front as well if your truck is a 4x4... - momentum_rvExplorerAdded Bluray player and sound bar in living room. TV now looks & sounds great!

Nice rig. Congratulations. What truck are you going to get to haul it?
2002 F350 7.3 - BedlamModeratorMy 275/70R18 tire was rated at 3650 lbs while the same height 245/70R19.5 was rated at 4805 lbs. Stock 18" forged rims were rated at 3600 lbs while aftermarket 19.5" rims were rated at 4500 lbs. I kept my old 18's as spares although I never had to use them.

The Visteon Sterling 10.5" rear axle has a 9750 lb rating. If you can build up the suspension and upgrade wheels to handle additional weight, the frame is the same as the DRW.
I have mixed feeling about the air bags used on pickups. If they become the primary lift support, they are not firm enough to keep the vehicle from swaying. When heavier style models are used in an air ride system, they are stiffer and don't exhibit this behavior. The lighter bags are good for leveling but the metal springs should be well engaged to keep stability.
My F250 was upgraded to comfortably carry 8000 lbs on the rear axle. If someone wants to start a new thread about this we can continue the discussion.
Not to many drivers substitute bags for their stock springs. I know a lot of airbag applications are add-ons. Unlike a wheel, you are changing out completely. If you try and stay stock tire height you loose sidewall height and most tires with a lower profile sidewall loose capacity. Just my .02
Like I said Im not trying to argue anything. Just pointing out. - BedlamModeratorThe Visteon Sterling 10.5" rear axle has a 9750 lb rating. If you can build up the suspension and upgrade wheels to handle additional weight, the frame is the same as the DRW.
