What hose is needed to convert to 100 lb Propane tank

Ok, I found the "Acme Extend-A-Stay Adapter" by doing a "Google" search. Looks like Camping World doesn't sell this any more. If I understand this product correctly it allows it to be inserted in an existing propane line and then also allows connections for adding another appliance such as a BBQ as well as being able to add another connection to an additional external LP tank. We have something similar already on the 5th wheel but it only allows an additional appliance (BBQ) to be added into an existing line between the tank and the regulator. Looks like the Extend-A- Stay adds another port. Not sure I want to go to the extra expense to buy one of these for $40-$45 and then also have to by a 6' or longer additional hose for $20 to $30. But it does allow hookup of both the 100 lb cylinder and the 30 lb cylinder at the same time. I guess I need to decide how much convenience I'm willing to pay for.

Just go to a propane distributor and lease a 100 GALLON tank. the distributor will bring the tank to your site, hook it up for you, and fill it. When it gets low, he will come fill it again.
We lived in a 32 foot triple slide fifth wheel through a Montana winter with just such a setup. I don't remember how often we had to get the tank refilled, but IIRC it wasn't all that often.
It worked a LOT better than hauling the 100 pound cylinder to get it refilled like I did during a previous winter!

First, the only difference in propane connector lines will be length.
In my experience, 6 ft. is a good length for 100 lb. tanks.
It is lawful, and quite easy if you are in average health, to haul the
100 lb. tank laying down in the bed of your pickup. Just stand it close
behind the bed and tip it in. Be sure to secure it to keep it from rolling
around.
Although there is no limit, for safety reasons I wouldn't want to haul one too far.

This is what my propane dealer did when I lived on our property while the house was being built. They even sett up the long hose to connect to the regulator.

My local propane dealer stopped by about every two weeks and refilled it.
No problems.

Just contact a local propane company and talk with them about your needs. Different areas of the country have different strategies, and different companies have different plans.

You will find a company that will fill your needs I am sure.

I suspect the gas company will run copper tubing from their tank directly to the RV gas piping and disconnect the hose that connects to the RV regulator.
