I have LR D tires on my TH. GVRW is 8000. 4200 dry and i don't haul but maybe 1000 lbs all in. For relatively light loads such as this what PSI do you reccommend. 65 is max and I'm currently running 50-55 PSI. About to put 2000+ miles on it next week.
Just a heads up.
Depends on how much load those tires have been operating at and how many years in use at such low pressures...... using 50 psi in a 65 psi rated tire can result in damage to the tire carcass/tread belts as the tire gets twisted (side stresses) while backing and on every corner.
That doesn't mean the tire will blow the next time on the road.
Tire damage is cumulative. After so many of those type events they can. Watch those tires close while on the road. Use those outside mirrors every few miles.
