What size generator
Could someone please tell me how to figure out how large of a generator I would need to power a small microwave in our fifth wheel?

As soon as you plug the rig in, the converter will try to charge the battery at it's given rate.
This could happen the same time as you try to use the microwave.
A good 2000 watt genset should handle both.
A 2000 watt may or may not handle the a/c unit if you are thinking of that.
