What Spare Parts do you carry?

Fuses, some 12v. wire, roll of Eternabond, & basic hand tools in my truck bed box. Prepping for a trip seems more work and effort than NASA expends to launch a manned mission. Hell, I'm still trying to master remembering to take what we do need.........and that's while working from a list!:S:S:S

And to add to this list, I carry a spare brake assembly mounted on backing plate along with spare set of bearings and seal plus grease. I also carry 2 bottle jacks. Also I installed onboard air (VIAIR) and mounted tank on side of truck frame and yes have air tools :B

And as mentioned earlier, several beers.

I carry an extra vent lid and plumbing pieces to cap or splice the tubing in the event of a leak or failure.

Having replaced a broken shackle and lead spring, both stranding me for an additional day. I have the spare parts from replacing all of them and the room and capacity to carry them. I hate having to pay someone to do repairs I'm capable of doing.

I suppose if you're staying off the grid, carrying a lot of stuff is handy, but mostly I'm not that far from a hardware store. And I hate clutter. OTOH I do carry a few tools: pliers, V/O meter, small tool set.

I realized years ago, regardless of what spare part I had it wasn't what I needed. Just made for too much 'stuff'

I carry spare caps for the low-point drains. Lose one and your fresh water system is worthless- I guess kids like to have fun.

Dick B's idea with the 2 spares is a good one.
After the blowout last year I'm scared on the road now.

About the same as everyone else here:
I was crazy with the tools and parts at first.
As the years wore on I gave away or just tossed the extras.

Never have needed much other than some cord, screws, nuts, fuses, nylon tie straps, bungees, nails and a few simple tools.

I do seem to use a claw hammer and hatchet a lot though.

Most things can be screwed back in, zipped up tight or taped over until I can get to a CG and call the Mobile RV Guy to repair it with OEM parts that he always has a plethora of on board......while I sit back with a cold one and watch him!
