My 5th wheel needs washed and waxed. We purchased it brand new last June took only one trip due to my poor health and then stored it underground in a mine for the winter. It is still pretty clean but needs a quick wash.
I cannot perform the work as I suffered 2 small strokes and ladders are no longer allowed. Plus I just do not have the strength in me as well.
The 5th wheel is a 31 foot standard fiberglass / gelcoat sides.
I posted on Craigslist that I was looking for someone to provide this service and my phone started ringing within 20 minutes of the post. I got some off the wall costs of well over $500 and some ridiculos ones of $50 as well. I ruled the low ones out as people who do not know what they are getting into and I don't want them working on my rig.
So what is a fair price for a quality job? I will be providing all materials required soap, wax, rags, sponges, ladders, buckets etc.
If it matters or not I'm in the south west corner of Pennsylvania.
Thanks!
Dave
While in south Texas last winter, there were a number of mobile wash units that would charge $10 a foot for a wash AND wax. Plus, they did nice work.
