Hi,I am trying to purchase a new Octane rig but can't find ANYONE to help me with this in Northern California. Here is what i have tried so far:1. Go to Jayco website, build rig and send to both of their "local dealers" (Pan Pacific RV in Morgan Hill & Manteca Trailer and Camper). I then send quote request to both dealers and ask for bid.Pan Pacific states that although they are an authorized Jayco dealer, that they cannot sell me an Octance because they don't carry that line or something like that.Manteca hasn't responded at all to numerous requests2. Engage Jayco directly via email, Facebook, and Twitter to ask for assistance. No response at all via email or Twitter. Facebook response on Aug 28: "Hi. We've passed this along to the internal Regional Sales Manager in your area. He will be following up with you."However no one has contacted me 3. Send quote request to Camping World RV sales multiple times as they have none in stock either, no response from them to date.I have never had to work so hard to spend money with a manufacturer and am hoping that someone here can assist or point me in the right direction?Thanks in advance for any assistance D

There are also 2 Octane 26Y's on Craigslist in Oregon. Don't know if you want a new one or looking at used also.If they want to sell them bad enough most are willing to meet you half way. We bought our 5th wheel used from a couple in Idaho and we're in California. Had a dealer in Idaho inspect the trailer for me and transaction was made in Las Vegas.

We are looking for a new (no real preference between 2013 or 2014) unit only at this time.

Toobold, i did see your post and have contacted them via rv trader (where i saw the two they have originally), and also directly from their website.

unfortunately same problem as everywhere else, no response.

i will call them tomorrow and see if that helps

There's also one at World Wide Rv in Mesa, Arizona. They will deliver to the border of California and you can have the notary meet you there confirming delivery in California and then pay taxes at the DMV.

He may be out of luck there as well.. I looked at the TH menu scheduled for the show, and the Octane isn't on the list. I also spent some time looking for any Ocatne's, and he's gonna have to plan on a road trip if the local dealers don't have anything in stock.

That may be your best bet on pricing as well. The Pomona RV show is big and lots of dealers.

The sales people I've talked to in the RV side pretty much say they will take the customer on the lot before they will spend time with somebody emailing on the internet. They tend to take you much more serious if you are face to face or on the phone. They get a lot of emails that never pan out, yet the can spend a lot of time dealing with some anonymous person. While I agree that manufacturers should respond to contacts if they are going to offer it, the reality is that the RV industry hasn't adopted that way of life.

As for finding a Jayco, it's hard. I wanted to see the Jayco toy haulers when we were shopping in 2005, but the dealers just didn't stock them as much as other Jayco units.
