Where to install small safe?

I want to install a small safe in our fiver to stash our millions in cash that we take when we travel...Thought of under the bed but it has a false floor to cover the hydraulics underneath. Where are most of them installed? Thanks.

I'm thinking that could be a great spot. Have to do some digging under there and see if there's room..

  • I have one of these in my 2007 Dodge 3500

Have one of these in 5vr bedroom mounted under bottom drawer of dresser cabinet. Have to remove drawer to access.

    Flat safe/lock box

And one of these portable fire box with passports/wills/DD214/birth certificates etc. It goes with us.

  • You need to find a "dead space" in your camper somewhere. Sometimes the empty space that is closed off below the refrigerator, or the space directly under the oven (if it has no door), or even under the shower pan... (really). Under the bed, inside one of the pass-throughs or outside access storage areas. Is it possible to have a hidden safe inside a living room chair or sofa? In the dead space under the cushions? In the back of your cloth's closet. Build an removable front so it's hidden. There all all kinds of places once you start thinking "outside the box" .... literally.

FYI, the same question comes up every now and then, on where to install a lock-box for hand-guns too.

I always thought it would be neat to mount a safe in the floor of a cabinet.

I guess actually the best place would be inside the truck somewhere... That is where we keep all of valuables now including my 2KW Honda generator... That all goes where we go I reckon and all is out of sight - out of mind...

After thinking about what a valuable would be I am inclined to say my Bean coffee grinder haha...

  • In one unit, I set it right behind the barrel chair at the door with doggie stuff on top of it. I thought that was kind of ironic, but did it anyway!
