I haven't seen anything bad about the Newmar Aires,the phaetons, the Zephyrs, the Entegras, Monacos, Tuscanys, Septers, Allegros, Endeavors, American Coaches, just to name a few lol.

Naturally MY research has yielded a few top 9 lists that I find helpful and I may use as a guide or quasi rule of thumb. If interested here they are:

1 Monaco, 2 Tiffin, 3 fleetwood, 4 holiday Rambler (now part of Fleetwood), 5 winnebago, 6 Coachmen, 7 Jayco, 8 Forest River, 9 Keystone, 10 Thor.
the second list had-1 Monaco, 2 Tiffin, 3 HOLIDAY RAMBLER, 4 FLEETWOOD, 5 winnebago, 6 Coachmen, 7 Jayco, 8 Forest River, 9 Keystone, 10 Thor
The third list only had 5-
1 Jayco, 2 fleetwood, 3 Newmar, 4 winnebago, 5 tiffin

Personally I'm considering the top 6, but will not rule out the lower 4 if they have convincing evidence which disproves their negative-review track record.

If you haven't already accessed it, there is a very active discussion thread in the Forest River Forums for the FR3. There is also an Android App for free for the Forest River Forums if you want to access via an app. Good luck.

After much research and walk thru's we have taken the Ace off of our list of units. Just found too many problems in the ones we checked out. Have pretty much got it down to Winnebago Vista, Forest Ridge FR3 or the Jayco Precept. Have not seen any small Fleetwood, Tiffin or Thor Windsport which we have been told is higher quality than the Ace. We had a Bounder that we loved years ago but have seen no small ones...Dealers here in Washington do not seem to want to deal much so may have to wait until Quartzite in January...

We have a 2010 Windsport 32v (32'). It had some initial problems that were all taken care of and then we've had 7 years of good service. Look for. 30'ish gasser with 22.5" tires, those will probably have more storage in basement and a few pass thru's. We have 2 slides and for two people, it feels massive, we spend as much as 5 months per year and never feel cramped. Milage 6-7 but I do go 70 if laws allow. I have many hobbies and have never felt I had to leave something at home. Just about any RV you buy today requires planning and prudance on the buyers part, a thorough check out (I spent two days in mine before I bought and didn't sign till all was right), then local trips close to home to get any more bugs out near the dealer). Anyway, don't want to hijack your thread with all that! Good luck, I'm sure something is out ther that you will be happy with!

Take a look at the Winnebago Vista 32k. Pluses are it has 2 slides, massive shower, 2 Heat Pumps and 50A service (with Onan 5500 genset), and the 32 ft length gets us in most any campground. Minuses are the storage compartments are not massive, but we use the bunks for storage and they are massive storage spaces. We have the V10 with the 5 speed torq shift and get 7 to 8 MPG towing a CRV. We put a separate Dorm sized fridge in the lower bunk to augment the standard sized rv fridge. There are outdoor TV connections in the storage bay if that is your pleasure.

One final piece of advice is to get 2 AC units even in your 30 footer. You won't regret it.

Don't own a Thor, but I bet plenty do and that will have a lot to say about them, good or bad. I looked for a smaller class A and finally decided on a class c at 29.5 feet on a F550. I het between 10.5 and 12 mpg depending on speed and mountains. Love it and glad I made the switch.
