I was just curious, over the years I've seen several post where it's been said they made the dealer change the tires. Each deal is different and of course no business wants to lose on any part of the deal. I would imagine some deals would allow for a tire swap to save the deal, just depends on how much he's making on you. I agree if your not careful you will get your tire swap included in the deal and pay dearly when you thought they were throwing them in the deal.
My case is a little different, I own an aftermarket shop that sells tires. I will get the tires and install them, just want an allowance back when I return them to the dealer. If I buy many hours away I will have my G rated Goodyears in the back of my truck and they can put them on.
I don't think most dealers want to lose a sale over 2,4 or even 6 tires.
