Wolf Pack 305WP? Any owners?

Hey everyone! I sold my ROO 232 Hybrid Toy Hauler and have been looking at 5ers. I was originally looking at the Puma 356QLB, but happened to notice the Wolf Pack 305WP. They appear to be sister 5ers, but Wolf Pack is offering a lot more options than the Palomino(I asked Palomino if they would add any custom options and they said no). Some of the nice upgrades on the Wolf Pack include a Party Deck option, 50 amp service and they were willing to plumb a washer/dryer prep in the garage, even though it is not an "official" option. I am curious to know if anyone has this 5er and what your opinions are. It appears that both Palomino and Wolf Pack appear to make a decent product although it may not be as plush as some of the high end models out there. It is very possible they are even made in the same plant. I really cannot find any bad stuff about them but I though I would throw it out there. The other side of this is I had to get the regional Forest River Rep involved to answer any of my questions as neither local dealers had any interest in helping me. This may be a bigger concern than the trailer itself.

  • I have a 04 Cherokee WP-22 that I have pulled for 30K miles. I had only one problem, the wire to the fuel transfer pump was pinched and had to run a new wire. My Keystone 5er TH part of the roof was not even attached to the trailer. I still own both and would say quality was about the same. When I replace them I will go with Excel or New Horizon. For the money they have gave me good service.
  • I wish my neighbor was on this forum to reply to you. They have a 2010 Wolfpack 306wp. They were extremely attracted to the price when they were looking at toyhaulers, but after 4 years of use the love is all gone. Poorly mounted black tank dropping and leaking all inside the underbelly, broken landing gear (numerous times), wiring issues, cheap lighting fixtures breaking, cheap electric awning motor failure and the list goes on and on.

My opinion is the Wolfpack is a low quality trailer. You just don't build a quality trailer for 25% less than the cost of similar trailers without sacrificing quality along the way. 4 years later, the pictures do look like there have been some quality improvements, but overall it looks like the same. Hopefully they have upgraded the components that they use. One sticking point for me on my neighbors Wolfpack is having a trailer that sleeps 8 yet only has a 6 gal water heater.
