WW FS2600 Actual Dry Weight??

I just brought home a 2004 WW FS2600. A super clean 1 owner that was only used a couple of times. The Dry Weight according to the Sticker in the Cabinet is 5850lbs.

BS

This thing is a beast! I don't have a scale anywhere nearby so I was unable to weigh it before loading all of our stuff in it.

Does anyone have an FS2600 that they have weighed "dry"?

Thanks

  • The MFR "dry weight" on WW was also without options (generator, battery, propane tanks, your stuff...). Now most MFR's have moved to a "typical dry weight" where they are including the most common options.

Like most of the other posts I've never really cared about dry weight anyway because that's not how much it weighs when I tow it. It has 10+ gallons of propane, 2 batteries, 75 gallons of water and 30 gallons of fuel plus all my stuff and toys in it. Actual weight is more like 11,000 on mine, more if I open up the second 75 gallon water tank and fill that one too.

And the WW design tended to be a bit nose heavy. On the other hand it has never played wag the dog with me except for when it really was empty, so now I always keep it "wet".
  • Forget dry weight- it is a 11,100lb GVWR trailer and you might as well assume that you are a lot closer to the 11,100lbs than the 5,850lb :)
  • I can tell you what your tongue weight is, but not the overall weight.
My buddy owned a 2002 FS2600, Al sides.
I have a tongue weight scale and we checked it one day.
No water, no toys, full propane and 2 6V batts = 1600lbs.
Full water with no toys = 2100lbs.
Full water with 3 full size quads in the back = 1700lbs.

Those are weights measured directly at the ball mount.

I would be willing to bet, empty, that trailer is 8000-8500lbs all day long.
  • Your 100% correct on the BS. Not sure what it weighs but our 2007 WW SL2800 footer Super Lite was 7150 lbs. dry. We actually had the dealer weigh it at a CAT scale and hand us the scale receipt before we purchased it because of all the BS weight issue's WW was having. We looked at the FS 2600 before we bought ours and it was heavier than ours. I know that for a fact. That's why we went with ours. If I were you I would take to a scale and have it weighed just for peace of mind.

Maybe do a search on here. There was a boat load of info years back on here for WW weights. I know that because I was part of the discussions. LOL.
  • My FB2200 with propane filled, two batteries, generator, picture windows and fiberglass sides was 7500 lbs before filling fuel and water or loading gear and toys. Typically, I was over 11,000 lbs when fully loaded.

    * Ours also had the jack knife sofa slide out which added to our portly 22' wide body.
